The Upper Pantiles is the famous retail and leisure destination of the affluent Spa Town of Royal Tunbridge Wells. The asset is fully let to a vibrant mix of retail, leisure, residential and office occupiers.
The estate comprises 81,000 sq ft of mainly Grade II Listed accommodation consisting of 29 commercial units and 24 residential units. The Pantiles is also home to Chalybeate Spring from which the name of the town is derived.
We continue to actively asset manage this historic part of Tunbridge Wells to ensure that it remains a well presented, desirable location for residents and businesses. Our strategy involves a re-invigorated letting campaign to diversify the retail provision and attract a wider customer base, combined with a refurbishment programme, to deliver stronger investment values. We also recognise that The Pantiles’ historical significance and importance to the local community should be enhanced.
Our highly successful events programme stages over 100 events each year, with new events and community driven activities continually added to widen the appeal to visitors. Our aim is to continually increase the footfall to the estate and maintain a diverse customer base for the benefit of all of our retailers and leisure operators.
One of the highlights is the hosting of “Jazz on the Pantiles” every Thursday evening from May to September each year, which has become an established event in Tunbridge Wells’ entertainment calendar and attracts over 1,500 people per evening.
Our new website launched in 2016, in conjunction with our social media platforms, continues to provide up to date information on our traders, events and offers, all of which are promoted by our regular blogs. This strategy has ensured that The Pantiles continues to rank within the top five results of most Google searches for Tunbridge Wells entertainment, dining and shopping. We have also succeeded in maintaining our status as the most liked and recognised retail and leisure destination in Tunbridge Wells.
